AAM joins our colleagues at News Media Alliance and the entire news media industry in mourning the passing of John Murray, vice president of audience development.
As a tireless champion of newspapers and their audiences, John worked closely with AAM staff, committee members, and our shared clientele to promote and advance the news media industry. He was at the forefront of our many joint initiatives with the NMA including the overhaul of newspaper rules, the incorporation of audience data on AAM reports and the movement to identify and reward quality digital publishers.
John’s devotion to the value of news media and his enthusiasm for pushing changes forward will leave a lasting mark on the newspaper industry. His kindness and sincerity left a lasting impression on all who met him. His loss is felt by all of us at AAM.
